  -drive and walk on the opposite side
  
  -'Z' is pronounced 'zed'
  
  -'French Fries' are 'Hot Chips'
  
  -there is a pub in campus...above the food court
  
  -don't pronounce 'R's. For instance, water='wata', Cairns='Cans', Peter='Petah'.
  
  -there really is no high-level college sports. they can't believe it when I say stadiums of 100,000 get packed for college football games.
  
  -owning guns is illegal
  
  -they think American football players are sissies
  
  -virtually no one lives on campus for school. most live at home.
  
  -pennies do not exist...they round to multiples of five
  
  -cuban cigars are available...and oh so good
  
  -EVERYBODY loves Obama
  
  -once you step off the plane you immediately have your 21st birthday...or the equivalent in relation to alcohol consumption
  
  -bell peppers are called capsicum
  
  -there are no pepperocinis or banana peppers at Subway. AND meals only come with cookies, NO POTATO CHIPS!!!
  
  -Subway footlongs are $7, not $5
  
  -they show boobies on regular t.v.
  
  -when going out to the city of Sydney, many guys straighten their hair...and are NOT ridiculed...
  
  -there are NO free refills. That's one of their favorite things about America...
  
  -voting is compulsory
  
  -guys wear skinny jeans, not baggy
  
  -say "How are you going?" instead of "How are you doing?"
  
  -say "heaps" a lot...A LOT, like, heaps of times
